How we pick deals
Every pick on DealNook is chosen by hand. We track an item's recent street price, not just the sale tag a retailer shows, so a "discount" that only matches the everyday price never makes the list. We favor products with a strong track record and real owner reviews, and we group them by category so you can compare like with like.
We update the lineup every week as prices move and new drops appear. When a deal expires or the price creeps back up, it comes off the list. Our buying guides go deeper on how to choose within a category and how to tell a genuine markdown from a fake one.

Who runs DealNook
DealNook is published by the Winslow Homes team as an independent site. We are not a retailer, a storefront, or a price-comparison bot. A person selects every deal that appears here, writes the category guides, and removes listings once the price moves. There is no automated feed dumping whatever a retailer's API returns into a page.
How a price gets checked
A retailer's "was" price is the least reliable number on a product page. Before a deal makes the list we look at what the item has actually sold for over the last several months, not the crossed-out figure beside the sale tag. Three things get an item rejected immediately: a reference price that never held for a meaningful stretch, a discount that appears on the same schedule every month, and a seller with no track record on the platform. What survives is a price that is genuinely below where the item normally sits.
We also weigh whether the item is worth owning at any price. A 60% discount on something that breaks in four months is not a deal. Owner reviews across time, warranty terms, and whether the manufacturer still supports the model all factor in, which is why some categories have far fewer picks than others.
What we will not do
- Invent urgency. No countdown timers on deals that run all month, and no "only 2 left" language we have not verified.
- Accept payment for placement. No brand pays to appear on DealNook, and no listing position is for sale. Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer after a sale and are identical in structure across the merchants we work with.
- Present ads as editorial. Advertising slots are labeled. Editorial picks are ours.
- Republish manufacturer copy. Every description and guide on this site is written here.
Prices change, and ours go stale
Retail pricing moves hourly on some platforms. We refresh the lineup weekly and pull expired items, but a price you see here is a snapshot from when we last checked, not a live quote. Always confirm the final price, shipping, and return window on the retailer's own page before buying. If you find a listing here that is out of date, tell us and we will pull it the same day.
Corrections
We publish corrections rather than quietly editing. If a specification is wrong, a price is stale, or a guide gives bad advice, email [email protected] and we will fix it and note what changed.
